August 1-7 is World Breastfeeding Week!#WBW2023 will focus on breastfeeding and employment/work. It will showcase the impact of paid leave, workplace support and emerging parenting norms on breastfeeding through the lens of parents themselves.

Thank you to the community for celebrating world breastfeeding week with us. Thank you to all vendors who participated in the fair, supported the FVBC and donated raffles. Thank you to all donors. Thank you to all volunteers who helped plan, host and sponsor the event. A big thank you to all of you who came to the fair and came to support the FVBC! Because of all of you we can continue to exist and give back to our local families! Stay tuned for upcoming FVBC events, projects and more.

FVBC's Kids Fair is a great chance to learn about all of our family-related community resources/programs & local businesses!
There will also be:

- Local vendors
- Food trucks
- Kid games and activities
- Prizes and free giveaways
- Face Painting
- A magician and balloon animals
- Car seat safety inspections by the health department
- Everyone gets entered into a drawing for a free night stay at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake!!! This is through completing a passport, more details below...
- Amazing raffle baskets donated by supporting and/or participating businesses ***all funds go to the FVBC- This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Buy a raffle ticket(s) and support us paying for a member to become a certified lactation counselor.

At our Kids Fair, you’ll be able to purchase raffle tickets via Venmo, Cash, or Check. If you’re unable to attend the Kids Fair but would like to purchase raffle tickets, send us a message on Facebook or email us on the Contact Us page.
HOWEVER, The Kids Fair raffle is also the biggest fundraiser we do for our volunteer-run coalition. We have so many wonderful raffle baskets!! Thank you so much to everyone for that has donated!
WHAT WILL OUR MONEY GO TOWARDS???
- We are shooting to raise enough money to pay for a community member to become a certified lactation counselor (CLC), it costs $820. The new CLC will help facilitate our Baby Bistros so we can keep this volunteer-based service up and going for all of the new mamas!
- We had our Breastfeeding Bungalow at Under the Big Sky Festival earlier this month, so parents had a private space to pump, feed, or change their children's diapers. Big success, but unfortunately our brand-new tent ($179) was destroyed in the wind while there. We'd love to continue to provide the bungalow at other community events and at the future Under the Big Sky Festivals.
- We are also hoping to raise at least $200 for snacks & drinks for our Baby Bistro groups this year. We provide free snacks & drinks to parents & their children at our weekly Baby Bistro groups, and we go through a lot!
- Any additional funds go towards materials for advertising, events and other projects to help support the families of our community!

Our Passport Grand Prize is a one-night stay at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake! Also included is a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne and an Endangered Species dark chocolate bar in a beautiful, stainless steel ice bucket.
The only way to be entered for this prize is to complete your Passport at the Kids Fair and turn it back in to our table. We will then have you fill out your contact information on our form that assigns you a number. We will put that number on your raffle ticket for the drawing.
Complete your Passport by visiting EVERY SINGLE booth at our Kids Fair and have each booth mark your Passport as proof that you attended their booth.
Pick up a Passport when you first arrive at our table! We will be in the center of the lawn!
